Clovelly House underwent a full renovation in 2021. The ground floor is the heart of the communal areas and a perfect place to get together with all the family. The kitchen and dining room overlook a private courtyard, a perfect area to relax on a summer’s evening.

– Private terraced garden
– Log Burner
– Private Parking Space

Ground Floor:
Entering Clovelly House hallway opens into a large spacious room overlooking the courtyard. An oak staircase is on your left as well as a small cloakroom area just underneath. The lounge is at the front of the home, with large sash windows and a feature fire for show. Please note the fire is not a functioning fire and is merely just for show. The room has two large sofas, two large armchairs and a corner wooden bench so there’s plenty of room to watch a film on the picture TV.At the rear of the property from the hallway, you’ll find the dining room with a large custom-made live-edge oak table that can comfortably seat ten adults. A large bench seat wraps around the corner so small bottoms can easily squeeze in! The dining room has a large window with a window seat overlooking the patio which is a favourite spot to have a morning coffee.
Just a few stairs from the dining room leads up to the beautiful country-inspired kitchen. With dark blue hand-painted shaker cabinets and marble countertops, this kitchen has not been skimped on! You’ll find top-of-the-range appliances, featuring an American fridge freezer with a water and ice dispenser, a double oven, a wine fridge, and all the essential household kitchen appliances and equipment. This is a very well-equipped kitchen so you will be more than able to cook a full Sunday roast for 10 adults.
First Floor:
On the first floor, you’ll find the Master suite, which has a freestanding bathtub, king-sized bed and smart TV. The Master suite also has a private bathroom, and fresh robes are provided to cross the hall into the shower room. Across the hallway, there is a family room, which also contains a double bed with a built-in loft bed above, a smart TV and an en-suite. This room is ideal for a young family as there is plenty of space for a travel cot (provided on request). Kids absolutely love climbing up to the loft bed, and we have had a few adults stay up there too but it can be a bit of a climb! The first floor also has a twin room with an en-suite and smart TV.
Second Floor:
On the second floor, you’ll find another two bedrooms each containing a king-sized bed. One room has an en-suite bathroom, and the other has a private bathroom opposite the bedroom.
All five bedrooms have a TV with Netflix and Disney+, and bed mattresses are top quality and comfortable, ensuring you have a pleasant night’s sleep.Outside:
The outdoor courtyard is safe and secure to ensure no dogs can escape and features a lovely seating area. Please note the fireplace is no longer in use due to previous guest damage. You are more than welcome to bring your own or use a disposable BBQ.
Parking:
A private parking space belonging to Clovelly House at the rear of the property is accessible through a lock code padlock and chain. If guests require additional parking, you can park at a nearby car park that is free of charge all year round and only a 2-minute walk from the house.Special Requests:
If you have any additional requests or want to discuss pricing, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will try our best to accommodate.
Pet Rules:
If you are bringing your furry friend, please ensure they are off the furniture. If they must go on sofas, ensure that a blanket/throw is put on the sofa to ensure muddy paws don’t mark the sofa.Top Tips:
The downstairs hallway, kitchen and dining room have the most beautiful stone tile. Whilst this was a great choice aesthetically, I would recommend bringing your slippers in the winter! The sofas in the lounge are rather fancy and made from duck feathers. They do require a little plumping, but it’s so worth the effort and often guests don’t realise.

Because we’re a townhouse in the centre, we don’t have a driveway. We have one private space around the back of the property. There is a local 24-hour free car park: Quayside, a 2-minute walk from the house.
Other things to note
This house means a lot to my family. We first visited Berwick as a family during the pandemic. We instantly fell in love with the town and then we found and fell in love with this house. The house was an old BnB, which is why it has so many bathrooms and is so well catered for. As a family we fully renovated it ourselves during 2021. We tried to make it homely and relaxing, but we also wanted to put some character back into the home that had been lost. We’re exceptionally proud and connected to this home, and we hope you love staying here as much as we do!
